Turkey

I had my first beach holiday in 2 years when I travelled to Turkey in June with my family. Read more to find out the best things about Turkey!

RELAX!

This might sound extremely lazy but honestly my favourite thing about this holiday was the part where I got to do absolutely nothing. After a hectic few years this holiday was needed, and I took advantage of every minute that I had nothing on my to-do list. Of course, the weather helped as it enabled me to (try) catch a tan whilst I did one of 3 things: swim, eat, drink.

ALL INCLUSIVE

I’d forgotten how good it was to have access to as much food and drink you could possibly have in the space of a week. This particular hotel had 2 chefs dedicated to just making whatever pasta you could imagine every single night and I was genuinely in my element. However, I’d say the downside of having free reign and/or no self-control would be waking up to a severe hang over every morning - nothing a swim in the sea and a Fanta lemon couldn’t fix though.

ANIMALS

Although I’m hands down a dog person, I do love the cats on holiday - These cats were so friendly!. I can’t mention the cats without talking about Maxwell – I named him that – the puppy that I wanted to take home more than anything. He was a little golden retriever puppy that I ran into at the markets. I was wearing a top that had floaty sleeves and he bit onto one of them and literally swung from it until his owner had to physically unclasp his jaw from my top. Miss him so much and i didn't even get a pic of him :(.

As much as I’ve been enjoying my city breaks recently, I can never go too long without a beach holiday, hopefully more to come soon. Thanks for reading!
